3 Shu Pie

​​The 3 Shu Pie is the Horseshoes signature dish. Invented by Eileen the 'Shu' is a measurement, splitting the pie into thirds. The first third is made up of mouthwatering cauliflower/broccoli cheese nestled against the next third of creamy mash and mixed vegetables. The last third is a delicious filling of your choice and the whole pie is covered by a piping hot puff pastry top. The pie can be ordered in a regular or large side and fillings include*:

  • ​Steak and Landlord - Lean steak slow cooked in a rich gravy + Timothy Taylor's™ Landlord Ale

  • Steak and Kidney -  Lean steak slow cooked in a rich gravy with kidney

  • Chicken and Leek - Tender chicken breast with leeks in a creamy peppered sauce

  • Chicken and Mushroom - Tender chicken breast and baby button mushrooms in a creamy peppered sauce

  • Game -  A variety of Game which can include pheasant, partridge, duck rabbit and venison in a well seasoned gravy

  • Pork and Apple - Tender chunks of succulent pork with apple pieces in a light gravy

  • Minted Lamb - Slow cooked chunks of leg of lamb in a minted rich gravy

  • Liver and Onion - braised lambs liver in a rich onion gravy

  • Fish - Salmon, cod and smoked haddock in a creamy parsley sauce

  • Venison - tender pieces of venison slowly braised in a rich port and cherry sauce

  • Vegetarian - Mushrooms and Leeks in a creamy tarragon sauce

  •                     Veggy Haggis  in a rich vegetarian gravy
